Interesting portrait, an idea and very realization appeal to me.

Hello Juan,
A very good portrait, where the blown-out background is perfect for showing off the B&W details of the face. A harsh treatment, but it works well, conveying the ruggedness of the guide.
Also, you cropped the shot so that a vertical bisector of the frame passes through one of his eyes, a technique used by master portrait painters. Was that instinctual or deliberate on your part? (I read about this in a book called Math and the Mona Lisa, by Bulent Atalay.)
