|This was as far back as in the winter of 1982. We had gone to visit 'Santiniketan' (Abode of Peace) - the University of Viswa Bharati - established by Rabindranath Thakur. Every winter, a large fair named the 'Poushmela' to celebrate the harvesting of the new crop is held in Santiniketan.|
These silver necklaces made by tribal jewellers were for sell.
The camera was Asahi Pentax Spotmatic II and the lens was a 200 mm. Do not remember the exposure. The original negative was scanned. The image was slightly cropped and the contrast was pushed up a bit.
The date is a guess.

I like very much the precision and delicacy of silver jewellery with the man in the background (seller or jeweller). It gives those jewells a more precious aspect.
