I hope I'm not too late with this one for Helen's theme.

As tonight is Burns' Night - the time to celebrate the Life and Works of Robert Burns, our Scottish poet - I thought something like this might be appropriate.

We did have Tatties and Neeps and Haggis for our tea tonight, as is usual on Burns' Night, but what better way to finish off the night but with a Scotch on the Rocks?

Enjoy!

Hi John.
Commendations on the originality. I love to be shocked at peoples visions.
This is great! Nice vibrant colour, and well presented.
I love that the boy is standing in amazement of what he sees.

A very "bright" composition. Funny, too!
TFS.

Hi John,
Brilliant idea, and very well done. You and I share the same sense of humour.
This is very clever.
On the PP side of things... the bottle looks a little flat, and the liquid should be level in the neck of the bottle.
I hope you don't mind, but I've done a quick WS to show you what I think makes you image spot on.
Cheers,
Pete.

Oh John,I would have thought on this occasion it would have been a pure malt & not a blended. Well thought out & presented.

Ron

very nice pp work its too timely with the kid just seeing the bottle. very effective shot

Hi John,
This puts a new meaning to message in a bottle LOL, Nice work and I remember views like this from our holiday over there, (minus the bottle). The idea works well but I think a little more PP would have made it better like in Pete's (eosnut) Workshop.
Well done
Regards Andy

Surely you could have stretched to a bottle of Malt John! :)

Joking aside; great lateral thinking for the theme, good concept and execution. Your PP work is superb.

I settled for a haggis roll at work for Burns' night.

Gary

Hello John,

How are you feeling this morning?

This is great work - was the boy in the original photo?

Lovely colours and sharpness throughout - I had actually spotted the level in the whisky bottle before I saw Peter's great WS. The only things left to fix now are the artificial light reflections on the bottle. Too tricky for me!

Surely no true Scotsman would add anything to his whisky - especially ice!

Regards,

Peter.

Hola amigo,
excelente sentido del humor y presentacin..
saludos

Bonjour John

A consommer avec mod駻ation !

This is terrific, John! Great fun!
Scotch is one of my favourite tipples, too - for medicinal purposes you understand!
I'm glad you kept whisky in it and didn't add a mesage!
It is a good shot of the rocks with nicely saturated colours without the addition of the fun element!

Well done,
Bev :-)

he he he very funny! those waters dont look much like scotland though at this time of year!
great work.
