Intro - update 02 Jul 07)

Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement, comments and critiques on TL.. and the friendships too :)
I think that has greatly contributed to being a lot more self critical in my own photography :)

Here is a re-presentation of one of my favourite earlier light experiments made at Westminster last year.
In WS I have added another shot from this same POV taken shortly after this.

For those who had not seen this post before, it was exposed as a London double decker bus passed me, hence the light trails you see here.

BTW, just to clarify, the clock tower is NOT Big Ben, contrary to what most people think. That is actually the name of the huge bell inside the tower.

Hello Daniel!

Your images are very easily recognized (^_^) . Pefect POV with the bus light lines passing just below the clock.Great also to see the curved lines instead of straight lines. They give more movements to scene.

This reminds me of the "nightbus" scene from Harry Potter!

Super sharpness in the architecture and the starlight effect on the lights is great to see. The light trails are perfect, text-book stuff - congrats on a wonderful shot!

Hello Daniel - a true 'eyesthetix' - post.
Isn't it hard to create a blur free shot so close to the heavy traffic? Very well done and good note. Thank you. Keep on trekking. Thomas

Hi Daniel,

Superb shot on the landscape. Its perfect.

Night and low light photography - well Daniel you sure learned a lot by reading that book.
It's just perfect. I already learned to look for corners, enough traffic with lights, but the one thing I would miss are the dubbledeck-busses you have.
I also thought the tower was called Big Ben - so it's the clock - we keep on learning here on TL
Thanks for sharing everything.

Hi Daniel;very good color balance a night-shot,very sharp....

Hi Daniel - Your night shots are impressive. They are very dynamic with beautiful light, like this one. It is a good 'show' of city 'components' with traces of invisible cars. The bus (driver) 'did a good job' because its light traces, running at a different level, create a dynamic curve. Well done! TFS! - Cordelia :) :)
