|Just steps from Don Mills backyards is this pastoral paradise at Leslie and Lawrence. The legacy of businessman Rupert Edwards (who converted this 27-acre homestead farm into a garden and golf course) draws gardeners and walkers alike. Spring is a good time to visit when the famous rhododendrons are in bloom. But there are year-round riches for flower enthusiasts, from the west-end arboretum (home to rose beds and shrub plantings) to the extensive rockery, which holds flaming junipers and Japanese maples. |
When snow covers the ground it becomes a litle harder to see the flowers but the gardens are still worth visiting.
