A closer view of the brigantine Windeward Bound. This was taken on another day and a later time than my previous views of this vessel. Some haze is visible which is a combination of the remainder of fog and smoke from households using wood fires.

Well done David!
Beautiful morning light providing nice side light and illumintaing very well the ropes and lines of this oldie.
Thanks for keeping posting Maritime shot.
As a matter of fact , It has been a long time since I posted one myself (*_^)

love the closer framing in this shot david
beautiful details and tones :)

I simply love the detail on this one. Don't get to see much of these on TL. That early morning sunlight is amazing. A great composition.

It reminds me a bit of Captain Jack Sparrow and the Pirates of the Caribbean. Wonderfyl detail and sharpness. The foggy background is perfect for the pirate mood.

Hi David,
Your photo brings a lot of detail with its excellent focus: one can study all the ropes and anchors of the brigantine... Good work! Thank you!

Hello David, very nice again, but my favourite is the previous one ;))

Tfs, take care, Yan :)

Great, sharp and colourfull.

Nice, deep colours in the ship's hull and in the water David create a pleasing atmosphere. Very restful!

hello David
wooww..excellent reflections..so lovely compositions

Hi Dave,

I really like this close up! Great POV & reflections from that calm water. Good natural lighting and razor sharp details.

Well done

Hi Dave,

Nice shot of this old sailing ship here my friend, I half expect to see Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) climbing the mast and swinging around on the ropes :))

Great capture!

once again great use of light to catch the vibrant colors. nice details and the lines created by the ropes add some extra depth in this shot.

Nice closeup of the same ship. TFS

Yes, this close-up well closely
shows all beauty and details of him.
Wonderful presentation

awesome photo david - please, let's not talk rugby, I'm still in pain, looks like the loss has cemented John Smit's position as captain (btw, captain of the Titanic was also a Smith) and worse, Jake White...

beautiful boat

Interesting POV, nice colours and intriguing shadows.

Hi David,
Great picture of an old sailing ship. Is it replica of a historic ship? I like reflection of the ship on wavy water surface and foggy background. [I posted some pictures of the Goetheborg, a traditional ship from Sweden, when she made stoped in Jakarta, Indonesia at Trekearth]

Maravilla de fotos hace usted !

A busy ship David.
The shot is from Tasmania, the place of great Aussie opener with a big belly but fierce run up David Boon. The ship reminded me of Boon.

oh my gosh..I love this...what is it about a sailboat that is so beautiful? Great shot! Also love your comment about "don't say you don't have enough time"!

Hi David,

Very crisp shot with nice colors. Shows you how important the right light is.

This is truly a magnificent photo David. Perfect lighting and exposure and you picked a good time of the day. Well captured !!
