The Impala, upper left. This is the primary food of the cheetah - being almost to fast for the lion to catch! The Hyena, upper right. This is the scavenger, stealing food even from the leopard if it's not careful.. Then there is the lion - king of the jungle, lower left. Finally, the Zebra - lion prey... Did you know that the zebra is actually one of the best camouflaged animals. Due to the colours seen by animals, when the zebra are in a herd, their stripes actually confuse hunters like the lion. Unfortunately for them, zebra's occasionally break away from the herds, making them easy targets.

These were some of the shots I figured not really worthy on their own due to the conditions they were taken under. Thought you might enjoy seeing them anyway, so combined them four on one to add interest. Hope you like it!

A very nice puzzle of African wildlife, Judy.
I like all four pictures, but you know me - my fave is the Zebra. Well done.

Merci Judy pour cette composition originale. Une petite visite d'animaux sauvages dans un milieu naturel. J'aurais 馮alement une pr馭駻ence pour le z鐫re.
Merci de nous faire voyager si bon compte Judy.
Very well done.

what ring my bells is HOW DID YOU GET SO CLOSE TO THEM, Judy? specially the king and the queen right next to it... I could be a reporter to cover the war, but never to get so close to a lion!!! congratulations!!!!

Very good idea to present these four as a whole since they do represent the daily life of prey and game.

You made a lovely and meaningful combination out of these four pictures, Judy. They are very impressive, although I understand what you mean "not really worthy on their own". But together and presented with a thread, it's a very nice impression of African wildlife.

I read your note to Bruno and I did wonder when looking at your elephants picture - now I understand I was right thinking this is reality, not a game!

If I'd known the true meaning of the word "scavenger" I wouldn't have participated in the Scavenger Hunt on TE! :o)

That beautiful landscape Judy, the selection is very good and the placement of the images, I find vegetation of Africa family, I had never seen so close a hyena in a picture, it is appreciated its skin very well, I think that perhaps the zebras don't like it that they take them pictures, because I have some zebra pictures in this same poses. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania *

A really nice montage of African wild life. I like the combination of the four different animals. The blacl borders makes each stand out, yet together they make a pleasing whole.
Great job!

I like your montage and the title. The picture can be sharper but it doesn't matter for me. You've made this "interdependence" message looks loud and clear.

Great arrangement of these lovely wildlife photos, Judy. Lovely colors and detail in an unbeatable natural setting. Your presentation of these four shots, together with the note, makes for a fine piece of storytelling. Well done.

A very nice idea, Judy, and one that IMHO suits the double purpose of TL very well. You show us your corner of the world (which really has a lot to show) and you try out new ways of combining and interpreting photos. Together they also give a good impression of the bush which is actually the overall dominating theme of the four.

great work Judy, i like the composition of the photos and the note is very useful too, well done!

Judy, this is a great montage, this is always a good way to go with images you feel aren't up to stand alone presentations, great idea.
IMO I think that each shot is very well taken, great zoom, wonderful detail and clarity, and of course very well presented. These types of shots make you proud to be a South African, we have such beautiful wildlife, and of course the not forgetting the BIG FIVE, I just hope that we will continue to look after our reserves?
Great presentation Judy.

Tanks for sharing this very fine composition, Judy and for learning me new meanings of the word scavenger ;-)

I like the diagonal lines of prey - interesting to watch them together - even not in scale -
