Patience ,

Spring is coming here too.....

A photo taken Sunday morning. The biggest part of the latest snow storm was now behind us. The winds were blowing up to 55 knots the night before. Two storms in four days left us 70 cms of snow. We had access to the garden house last week. But there is no way , I will shovel another trail again to it or to the feeders ( LOL !). I gave up ! My back and shoulder are prohibitting me to do it.

The birds, like this mourning dove will need to change their diet (^_^), or be patient and wait for a few warm days before having access to the feeder again .

Technically: Image taken again from inside the house through the patio door. Image uncropped. Just played a bit with contrasts and tones.

Reference point , Yep the upper frame of the door of the garden house is visible. The left side of the house is covered up to the roof. (^_^)

We will need indeed to be patient before seeing the first flowers blooming here .....

I will be back tomorrow!

Good night !

What a lovely image, Robert - and not a boat in sight ;-)

A great minimalistic feel here with enough little points of interest to keep us looking at the shot. I particularly like the little snow-pyramid on the left. Great title, with the bird poised, watchful in the tree. Nice shot!

Beautiful photo Robert, very well composed and presented.. I guess he has to wait a little longer for food :) right side of the frame doesn't work for me but love the subject.. thanks

Oh Robert. And the poor mourning dove is in mourning.
That snow looks so pristine, so unspoilt. It's a shame it has to melt!!!
Super composition

Very good shot and great work with the white. The lower part with a crop will make a great abstract too :)

hello Robert
WOW you guys really got slammed.. I like that the bird seems to be waiting for spring as much as you are! The feeder looks really neat with just the tip showing... Love the link you put in as well! They knew the storm was coming and filled up!

My goodness, but that snow is deep! You had it worse than we did !!!
I love the way the top of the feeder peeps out from under the snow, even though your poor dove really does NOT like that at all.
I hope you, your shoulder, your back and your doves are all doing well.
P.S. More music on its way shortly

Bonjour Robert,
Quelle fine observation.

Hello Robert, I cannot believe just how much snow you are showing us here!
An excellent title for an excellent shot.
I really like this one,tfs.
Regards Jean.

Bonjour Robert, simple, graphique a la fois comme composition et tres jolie avec l'oiseau comme complement!
On voit l'immensite de l'hiver cette annee! J'espere que c'etait la derniere bordee de neige. On a eu droit a 52 cm!!!!

Enough is enough! :)

Bonne soiree!

Hi Robert!
I'll ship you some of our great spring weather...all sunshine and no snow!!! I love the study of the contrasts, (I thought the mound to the left front was the garden house roof (!)it adds and interesting touch to the photo while the bird finishes the shot. TFS,
PS...this would make a great Christmas Card...titled waiting for Santa!

Salut Robert,

Gute Arbeit!
