Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix - Montreal June 13, 2010

The Winning team . The Dynamic Duo of Lewis Hamilton & Jenson Button taken in the Senna Curve as they were saluting the crowd after finishing 1-2 at the Grand Prix.

On Sunday , we did not leave our seats from 0900 AM til 14h00 (^_^). So indeed with jammed pack grandstands, my POV did not change at all . It was just a question of timing , opportunities , light and sometimes luck to capture cars as they were passing by us.

Cropped from original shot to focus more on the duo.

Hi Robert,
This is a marvelous photo, I almost can hear the roar of the engines. You had the timing just right, and a perfect crop, putting my attention where it belongs, makes this a most dramatic photo.

Hi Robert...great shot..I love the pose of the two drivers...excellent capture.

I duck in and out of the Trek sites sporadically and keep bumping into your excellent pictures. This one is particularly good and interestingly and imaginatively framed and presented. Many thanks.

Hi Robert,
Superb shot, nice timing to get the drivers acknowledging the crowd and good work on the crop. 400 ISO is a good speed for high speed racing such as this, great colours, excellent panning keeping the wheels moving - superb. Best wishes

Hi Robert,

Five hours in the same seats- ouch! But at least you got a really good photo after the finish!

I was at Virginia International Raceway recently for a major weekend. It was great fun- took lots of photos- walking around...:-)

Hi Robert,
no doubt where this image was taken:-)I like, though you used a high shutter speed to freeze the motion, that there is still a slight blur to the tires letters, which gives a feeling for movement.I like the sharpness & clarity of the subjects both with the cars & the drivers. Does using the Spot rather the Centered weighted metering make a lot of difference to this type of action image?
Well taken IMHO.
Best Regards

Hi Robert,
Back on track with the F1 racing I see :-)
Excellent crop of the two winners here, superb sharp and great clear colours. The presentation in the well known black frame works well too. I'm happy to see you posting again on TL.
